St. Francis Xavier School Foundation

My dear friends in Christ,

   Through the years you have generously supported the ministry of Catholic education at St. Francis Xavier School, which is so dear to my heart.  The faith, morals and values of countless young people have been molded by the Allegany Franciscan Sisters and those dedicated lay people who have followed many of the Franciscan traditions.  Many St. Francis Xavier School graduates have gone on to serve the community, at the local, state and national levels.

During the 38 years I served as Pastor of St. Francis Xavier Community, my priority was and continues to be to provide quality Catholic education to all families, regardless of their socio-economic circumstances.  In today’s economy the ever-increasing costs challenge us to keep this option available.  How can St. Francis Xavier School keep tuition affordable for all families?  How can our teachers and staff be compensated for their outstanding work?  How can academic excellence be provided?  How can Catholic education be ensured for generations to come?  The answer to these questions is to support the St. Francis Xavier School Foundation, which I established in 1985 to help ensure the financial future of our school.

Young people are the future of our church.  As school parents, grandparents and members of St. Francis Xavier or another local parish, we all share in this responsibility.  Please assist me in securing the legacy of St. Francis Xavier School.  May the Lord bless you for your generosity.
